Treatment Approach

We want to help you get the most out of therapy

We believe in an individualised and personalised approach to care. It’s all about getting to know you first and your goals. To help you get the most out of therapy, we develop a collaborative treatment plan based on your individual needs and will continue to monitor and update this plan as you make progress towards your goals.

We are highly skilled and have extensive training and experience in the following evidence-based therapy models and can tailor these to best suit you:

  • CBT helps you to identify the interrelationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns to improve how you think, feel and act

  • ACT helps you to identify and better respond to difficult thoughts and feelings so you can be more present and engage in you life in a more meaningful way

  • DBT helps you to develop and apply the skills of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness to create a more meaningful life

  • Schema Therapy helps you to identify and better respond to long-term patterns of thinking and behaviour and move towards self-compassion and personal growth

  • IFS helps you to identify and better respond to internal parts impacting on your emotional state and behaviour patterns leading to personal growth and healing

  • Mindfulness helps you to be more present, live in the moment and let go of what is not within your control to gain greater focus, awareness and capacity to more fully engage in your life
